Planned and implemented as a community recreation park and entry statement for this new neighborhood in rural Colorado, this unique project truly embraces “community” as the heart of the design philosophy. A unique project entry in the form of a contemporary apple orchard creates a distinctive sense of place, offers food for living and is used for events, such as the community cider days. The design draws from the local region where attention to detail and artistic fusion carefully blend the built and natural environment, providing a distinguished retreat for relaxation and contemplation. A guardhouse, community building, community orchard, and native landscape create a contemplative refuge for residents to relax and tune into nature.
