A design competition for a four season resort community in northern Japan led to a creative and dynamic solution for our clients on the island of Hokkaido. A design charette was conducted with our team to analyze project feasibility, develop a conceptual master plan and create a contextual vision for the development. The recreational amenities were programmed and designed consisting of improved ski area, 18 hole golf course, boutique shopping village, ice skating, cinema, waterpark, and golf and mountain teaching academy. The proposed mix of luxury real estate was concentrated within walking distance of the mixed use village core and thoughtfully amenitized by the golf course and ski runs.
